Freelance. Question Regarding Your Preferred Collaboration Format
Subject: Question Regarding Your Preferred Collaboration Format
Hello,
As we move forward in our selection process, I'd like to clarify your preferred format for collaboration.
Could you please let me know which of the following models you are most comfortable with?
1. Formal Agreement: Work under a signed Contract and NDA.
2. Agile Prepaid Model: Work on a prepaid task-by-task basis without a formal contract or NDA, with settlements at regular intervals (e.g., weekly).
Some context for our approach:
The absence of a signed NDA is not a concern at this stage. Development is planned in a decentralized manner, which inherently makes it impossible for any single contributor to access even a minimally viable version of the project's complete source code.
Furthermore, the potential for significant economic damage from errors is also mitigated. This is not the launch stage for mass usage; we are working with a modular architecture where the functionality in development does not handle critical business processes.
This prepaid method also serves as an effective filter for commitment. It presents an acceptable level of risk for us, as it naturally encourages less dedicated specialists to withdraw at an early stage, which is preferable to potential issues arising later in the project.
We are flexible and value clear, mutually comfortable working terms. Your preference will help us align our processes accordingly.
Please share your thoughts on which format you prefer.
Best regards, John
